Can we enjoy something that is also problematic? We are often called to demand something meet our politics, or reject it all as not worthy of our time. In this talk, Professor. Bane investigates how that tension between critique and joy can actually be a fruitful place of understanding and resistance. Theodra Bane is a PhD student and professor of philosophy at Villanova University. Her primary areas of research are philosophies of social justice and Black and Third World feminisms.
