Valid: Keeping Space for Intersectional Identities in Health Care In-Person / Online
Valid: Keeping Space for Intersectional Identities in Health Care is an advocacy event geared towards faculty, health care profession majors, and health care professionals, but will also be meaningful for individuals within the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Valid seeks to increase awareness of the issues and obstacles that BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals encounter and face while trying to access healthcare, and of course the intersections of these identities. The event will include time for a Q&A section at the end to generate conversations about these barriers and limitations while also providing self-advocacy and patient advocacy solutions.
The event is geared toward faculty, heath care professions majors, and health care professionals, but will also be meaningful for individuals within the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ community. All will be welcome!
